Blurb: Laila, a young West Indian girl, lives a normal life until her older sister, Anya, becomes sick. What starts out as general symptoms quickly morphs into the impossible when Anya transforms into a flower. Over the course of the summer Laila and her family navigate Anya's physiological changes whilst trying to maintain a sense of normality Through Anya, we are met with childlike innocence that illustrates how deep a sister's love can be.
